Period after pregnancy?
Its been three months since giving birth to my daughter. I exclusively breast feed her daily. I also have a 19 month old that I breast feed during his nap and bed time. They say that I might not have my period up to 6 months (LAM), but I’m not sure. I had my period after I had my son. Could I be pregnant again?
Breastfeeding supresses ovulations and thus your periods, especially if you are offering breastmilk as the only food to a baby ie no formula top up feeds
Some women can go for ages without their periods while breastfeeding – years even.
It’s best to check with your doctor to be sure but “up to six months” is not a standard answer.
